"JFS Standard Explanatory Seminar" was held in Thailand
On February 19, 2025, the Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) held a food safety seminar for Thai food business operators in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to explain Japanese food safety regulations and JFS standards.
This seminar was held in cooperation with International Certification and Compliance Co. Ltd. (https://www.intcertificate.com/), a certification body in Thailand. The company is preparing to register as an auditing company under the JFS Certification of Conformity Program for food manufacturers.
Participants commented that they felt the JFS standard would be beneficial for the import and export of food products between Thailand and Japan, and that they were interested in the JFS standard.
This seminar was conducted as part of the subsidy program for export promotion measures for agricultural, forestry, and fisheries products and foodstuffs in fiscal 2024 (a project to improve the export environment for processed foods using standards and certification) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
