[Press Release] Toridoll Holdings Corporation Becomes the First to Obtain the 'JFS Standard (Food Service - Multi-Site)' Certification - Commemorative Ceremony Held
On October 21, 2024, Toridoll Holdings Corporation (store name: Marugame Seimen) obtained the 'JFS Standard (Food Service - Multi-Site)' certification.
The 'JFS Standard (Food Service - Multi-Site),' developed and managed by the Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM), is a food safety management standard designed for food service operators managing multiple locations. It allows for the establishment of a food safety management system across the entire group, from individual stores to headquarters and management teams.
This standard consists of three key elements: Food Safety Management (FSM), Hazard Control (HACCP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). It enables compliance with the hygiene management requirements under the Food Sanitation Law, which includes incorporating HACCP principles.
On January 8, 2025, a ceremony was held to commemorate the achievement of this first-ever certification. The event was attended by representatives from JFSM, the auditing company BML Food Science Inc., and Toridoll Holdings Corporation.

Takaya Awata, President & CEO of Toridoll Holdings Corporation, shared the following words: "Food safety is one of the most important issues in the food service industry. Neglecting this could damage the trust of the entire industry. Toridoll Holdings has faced this challenge sincerely and has continued its efforts to provide safe meals every day. Obtaining the 'JFS Standard (Food Service - Multi-Site)' certification is the culmination of these efforts, and we are truly pleased. Going forward, we will strengthen our commitment to food safety and contribute to improving the overall food safety standards in the industry."
In the future, stickers indicating the 'JFS Standard (Food Service - Multi-Site)' certification will be displayed at all 837 Marugame Seimen stores.
After the ceremony, Toridoll Holdings Corporation and JFSM gave presentations, followed by a panel discussion involving the three companies. The discussion covered topics such as "The motivation for obtaining the certification," "Challenges faced during the certification and audit process," and "Future prospects."
The 'JFS Standard (Food Service - Multi-Site)' is proof that a system for providing safe food and meals is implemented across all stores. JFSM will continue to promote this system to the general public, ensuring that consumers understand it and feel confident in its safety.
