WHAT’S NEW
The first conformity assessment body for the JFS (Japanese Food Safety) certification program has been registered in the Southeast Asia region.
The Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) has signed a contract with the National Authority for Agro-forestry-Fishery Quality, Processing and Market Development Center 6 (NAFIQPM Center 6) regarding auditing and conformity certification for the JFS (Japanese Food Safety) certification program. The registered sectors/sub-sectors are CI, CII, CIII, and CIV.
NAFIQPM Center 6 is an organization established by the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and this is the first registration of a JFSM-contracted auditing body in the Southeast Asia region.
In the future, food businesses will be able to undergo audits based on the JFS auditing and conformity certification program.
With this contract, all JFS standards related to the food manufacturing sector in Vietnam are now operational.
A commemorative ceremony and standards explanation seminar will be held in November in Can Tho City, Vietnam, and will be open to the public.
