WHAT’S NEW
Publication of JFS-A Standard Document Version 3.0 and JFS-B Standard Document Version 3.0
Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) released Version 3.0 of the JFS-A Standard Document and Version 3.0 of the JFS-B Standard Document on March 31, 2022. The purpose of this revision is to align the JFS-A and JFS-B standard documents with the JFS-C standard Version 3.0, which was revised in 2020.
As of this revision, the sector codes have been changed from E to C, and from L to K.

About JFS-A/B Guideline
The guidelines for the JFS-A/B standard are scheduled to be published in May 2022.
For JFSM-Contracted Audit Companies and Food Businesses Operators (FBOs) Currently Conforming to JFS-A/B Standard
FBOs currently conforming to JFS-A/B Ver. 2.0 will be able to undergo audit with JFS-A/B Ver. 3.0 as soon as your audit company has been ready to conduct audit in accordance with the JFS-A/B Ver. 3.0.
The transition must be completed by December 31, 2023.
For JFSM-Contracted Auditing Companies, and FBOs Currently Planning to Acquire JFS-A/B Standard
FBOs that are planning to acquire JFS-A/B conformity assessment will be able to undergo audit in accordance with JFS-A/B Version 3.0 as soon as your audit company is ready to conduct audits.
After January 1, 2023, every audits of JFS-A/B Standards will be undertaken in accordance with Ver. 3.0.
